The eeai is a committed ‘not for profit’ community of both members and subscribers, who together introduce, support and promote the practice of professional ecopsychology and ecotherapy on the island of Ireland.

Our structure

The eeai is guided by its values, ethos and mission statement which have originated from the eeai community.

Mission Statement

Ecopsychology & Ecotherapy Association of Ireland aims to:

engage with and support those who are concerned, confused and/or distressed by climate change and its effects on both human and other-than-human nature on the island of Ireland.

guide, promote and support authentic, sustainable and professional ecopsychological and ecotherapeutic practice on the island of Ireland.

listen to, learn from and engage with those who avail of and/or subscribe to authentic, sustainable and professional ecopsychological and ecotherapeutic practice on the island of Ireland.

Our structure

The eeai consists of professional members and our subscribers with each having representation at committee level. The eeai committee aims to ensure that one third of the committee members elected must be eeai subscribers, two thirds of the committee members elected must be elected from the professional membership base and the chair, vice chair and other specialised selected offices may only be held by professional members.

Our ethos

The eeai is a welcoming, inclusive, independent, secular and eco-sustainable membership association of professional practitioners and subscribers who observe the reciprocal need for and value of healing for all human and other-than-human nature
